Seniors Cat ¾ - 54
entries. 63 miles. 3 laps.
The first 3 finishers were together in a break that formed early in the
race. These guys were working very
efficiently out there. They had a
sizeable lead over the chasing field. I
was especially pleased to see this happen in a field that often doesn’t have
the patience to allow a race to progress in this fashion. Congratulations to the first 3 finishers and
to the race field as a whole for your progress in maturing as racers. Note that 6th, and 11th places
were claimed by junior racers Jimmy Feely and Wynn Roberts. You’ll find their names listed in the juniors’
15-18 results. They raced two separate
races on this challenging course. We
should also note there were two women who chose to race in this field. I’m happy I don’t have to compete against
either of them J

Masters 40+
- 39 entries. 42 miles.
2 laps. By the time this group
had gone about half way around the course for the first time, there was no real
field in existence. The entire field had
been shattered by some very hard work by the race leaders during the first southbound
section of the course which had a very difficult crosswind. When I first saw them on the primary climb,
they were split up into many little groups with a lead break of seven.
